Online resources: Summary: The main articles in this issue of Theological Readings and Resources (TRR) were first presented at a three-day Consultation on Modernity and Vision 2020 organized by the Kairos Research Centre in 1995. The Consultation focused on the impact of the fast pace of socio-economic development on Malaysian society. The Consultation also sought to develop Christian perspectives in response to Vision 2020 which was then the centre of attention in social discourse. It should be noted that the discussions at the Consultation addressed specific and concrete issues that may not be immediately evident in the papers... It is our goal that TRR will serve as a platform for Christian reflection on issues of Christian faith and society and to develop strategies for mission and social engagement in Malaysia and South East Asia.
