Summary: The aim of the writer has not been just to augment the many commentaries that were already written in the First Epistle to the Corinthians. Nor has it been to give merely a historical survey of the difficulties that confronted the Church at Corinth. Rather has it been to give practical consideration to some of those problems which are of present-day interest. The First Epistle to the Corinthians has been chosen as the basis for these articles because of the wide range of subjects with which 1 deals. It is also of special interest to Pentecostal believers as it was addressed to those “who came behind in no gift.` Some of the problems raised in the Epistle can only be fully appreciated and understood by Pentecostal believers, as where the operation of Spiritual has ceased, so also have the problems (and blessings) connected with them.
