As Christians we need to know the origin of many economic issues arise that haunt us today. Planet earth had two beings first, but now there are more than seven billion! As we pause to reflect, we can “be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature” (1 Corinthians 14:20). As a doctor needs to diagnose first before making recommendations, so too we ought to recognise where we are as individuals and as society have fallen short of the glory of God, in the way economic activity is now organised so that we can rise to our true calling as Christians. God comes first, then money.
