| 520 | _aThis was a very important book for Church Planting for its time (1991) within the Church of England. George Lings and Bob Hopkins set forth helpful articles for that time in terms of general CP principles, while Mike Breen and others gave examples of new CP methodology. All 3 became church-planting giants in Sheffield, and throughout new expressions of church within the C/E, and other places (Breen is in the US at this writing). Then-Archbishop-George Carey set the tone (and essentially gave official permission) for the movement. All in all, the book is saturated with hope for what God might do (and did!) through church-planting in the C/E--which others had suggested was a misnomer within Canon Law! It demonstrates the hope and faith God had planted within these people's hearts, a hope He made good on through the explosion of church-planting and fresh expressions within the Church of England and beyond. | ||
